For this assignment, students had to take a series of 330-400 photos to create a stop-motion animation video. For my animation, I decided to do a first-person video of my rendition of a typical college student. Before creating the video, I had to create a storyboard of how my animation will play out and get the approval of the teacher. After the teacher's approval, we started taking photos.
After taking the photos, we had to compile them into Photoshop and render the video in Adobe Premiere Rush to add music. Our aim was to create a story for the viewer to understand using certain props, lighting, and a tripod.
My main idea for the story was to show the watcher what students do outside of class, so I pictured myself drinking, then stumbling upstairs and passing out on a bad, just to wake up back at home where I start my routine before class. I decided not to use any special lighting because it would have taken away from the first-person perspective that I set and I wanted to show that it was late at night when I started and morning when I woke up. I also didn’t use a tripod because my video was constant movement and I wanted a slight bit of blurriness to add to the first-person realism. The only props I used were an empty shot glass and a toothbrush.

Hyper-Realism
For this assignment, we had to shoot three separate pictures that we would later combine into one image to create a real-looking composition. We aimed to take these three separate photos within the same kind of lighting because if we tried to add an object that had different lighting compared to the main picture, it wouldn't look right. After getting these three photos, we were supposed to accomplish combining these photos in Photoshop.
The first thing we needed to do was brainstorm ideas of what we wanted to do for our project. My first idea was to do a keyhole and have a mountain inside of it but when looking through pictures I had already taken, I found a good picture of railroad tracks that I thought would be better. I also thought to have two people balancing on one of the rails.
After taking the photos of the people for my composition, I entered them into Photoshop with my railroad tracks. Because of the lighting, I had to add shadows for the people to make the photo look more realistic. Below is the final composition.
Portrait
For this assignment, students need to create a portrait photo using some adjustment techniques, such as layer works, and any other post-processing techniques, such as liquify, levels, curves, and many others. But the main part was to shoot a human. So, I chose to take a picture of my roommate.
After taking a series of photos, I decided this would be the best choice. This photo next to the flowers was his idea because he loves those flowers and I had him use his water bottle as a prop because everywhere he goes, he has that with him.
